Man United vs Bodo/Glimt

A return to the Europa League for the reds and Ruben Amorim’s first home match.

In the press conference alongside his captain, Bruno Fernandes, Amorim said he wants a win and he hinted at some rotation of his starting 11. I hope for his sake the players won’t pull an Ipswich and resort to the lazy style of old. I also hope whoever comes into the team for this game aims to stake a claim for themselves as Amad and Mazroui have done in their previous games.

I haven’t watched much of Bodo/Glimt, strange name by the way with that “/”, but they are above us in the table so they must be doing something right. Do not underestimate anyone in football, let’s hope for a win. Let’s Go United!!!

Line ups confirmed, I’m happy ro see Mount and Antony get a start. Amorim wants intensity, these 2 with Ugarte should give him some.

Half time update

Pros: Good start, good energy from most of the players. The deeper role suits Bruno allowing him to orchestrate the game better. Antony, hated and underestimated by most has had a good half. Mazraoui, what a baller. Ugarte doing his job. We are controlling the game, the tempo is good, we are pinning them back.

Cons: Malacia showed his rustiness for the second goal and his crossing has been poor. Garnacho guilty of wasting a few chances. Mount is trying but not finding himself on the ball much. Hojlund has to want it more as a striker. Onana given the form his been in could have done better for at least one of the goals conceded.

Lets see what the second half brings. Let’s go United!!!
